そして、エレンとミカサの生活は静かで孤立しているように描かれています。

さらに、スイスには何らかの大きな政府に追われていて、平和で静かな生活を送りたいなら身を隠すのに理想的な場所であるという歴史があります。
It's called Switzerland because that country is peaceful and isolated and Eren/Mikasa's life together is depicted as peaceful and isolated. Also Switzerland has a history of being seen as ideal to hide in if your wanted by some major government and just want to live out a peaceful and quiet life.
