I think you need to change your trading strategy mate…you need to start by putting your money in an etf and doing paper trading for a couple months until you fine tune a profitable trading strategy then you can take the principle amount + profit and utilize that going forward. What does your trading strat look like? Post every detail about it and see if someone will give you that last bit of info which could potentially help turn your trading around. If you have no plan at all, that's your problem. If you're scared to post it because you think you'll "give away your edge" - don't worry, you have no edge and are ready to give up anyway. The suggestions in this thread suck. You've been trading very poorly for 6 years, and it has you feeling worthless. Try something else for a side hustle that won't lose you money! At the very least, stop day trading and switch to holding sensible stocks.

If you are trading for 5 years, it's not a skill issue. You would have picked it up by now. It's a fundamental thing that you are doing wrong. Maybe your strategy sucks, maybe your psychology sucks, maybe the person you are now is not a right fit for trading. It's hard to encourage you or give you advice if we don't know what you are doing. Last thing you want to do is tell a drug addict: "Don't give up" or a suicidal person: "Go for it, you can do it". Context matters, put yourself out there, and ask for advice. I only became really active here in the last week and I saw so many people review each others strategies and give amazing advice.

Took me 9 years of losing, but became profitable in year 10 onwards. Difference was I was 17 when I started - I did it for fun for the first 9 years. Just liked seeing charts move (Probably the autism lol). Year 10 decided I wanted to make money- forget the fun. Found my edge - stuck with it - worked on it. ​ Stop trading for the thrill and do it in a way where it's boring. Find your edge. Work on your mentality (Read trading in the zone).

If trading was easy everyone would be doing it for a living. If you’re doing it because you enjoy it then don’t stop but if you’re just trying to make a living out of it then you should probably put your energy into learning something that can better your current career or take some classes to find a better job.

Nasdaq is very hard to master, trying to find tops/bottoms is big mistake, scalping with tight sl doesn’t work it will hit sl fast. I used to lose profit plus more on certain days with nasdaq going against the trend or trying a quick scalp then get trapped
