2024年1月1日、石川県能登地方を震源とするマグニチュード7.6の強い地震が発生しました。震源の深さはごく浅く、最大震度7を石川県志賀町で観測しました。この地震は、2021年から続いている能登地方の地震活動の中で、昨年5月5日のマグニチュード6.5、最大震度6強を大幅に上回る規模のものでした。

この地震により、石川県能登に大津波警報が発令され、山形、新潟、富山、石川、福井、兵庫の6県に津波警報が発令されました。また、日本海側の広範囲に津波注意報が発令されています。

国内で震度7を観測するのは2018年の胆振地方中東部の地震以来で、その他には熊本地震、東日本大震災を引き起こした東北地方太平洋沖地震、新潟県中越地震など、いずれも大きな被害をもたらしたものばかりです。石川県内で震度7を観測するのは観測開始以来、初めてです。

震度7の揺れに見舞われた志賀町では、建物の倒壊や道路の地割れなどの被害が報告されています。

it depends on notification system you are using, your area and intensity of the shaking detected there. Typically you will only get notified if at least shindo 4-5 (I don't remember the exact one) is reported in your area but if you are using an app like yurekure then you can specify the minimum shindo level for receving notifications.
